El detenido se encuentra recluido en la <strong>c\u00e1rcel de m\u00e1xima seguridad del Encuentro<\/strong>, en Santa Elena, tras ser trasladado desde los <strong>Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c1lvarez Vera lleg\u00f3 a <strong>Guayaquil<\/strong> cerca de la medianoche del <strong>29 de diciembre de 2025<\/strong> y, horas despu\u00e9s, fue trasladado en <strong>helic\u00f3ptero<\/strong> al centro penitenciario. El <strong>ministro del Interior, John Reimberg<\/strong>, indic\u00f3 que figura entre los principales responsables de delitos de <strong>alto impacto<\/strong> en Ecuador y que permanecer\u00e1 bajo custodia mientras avanzan los procesos judiciales en su contra, incluido el <strong>caso Comandos de la Frontera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 en <strong>noviembre de 2024<\/strong>, a partir de un <strong>Reporte de Operaciones Inusuales e Injustificadas (ROII)<\/strong> emitido por la <strong>UAFE<\/strong>. Este an\u00e1lisis permiti\u00f3 identificar una <strong>estructura criminal<\/strong> conformada por personas naturales y jur\u00eddicas vinculadas al <strong>tr\u00e1fico de drogas<\/strong> y al <strong>lavado de activos<\/strong> provenientes de dichas actividades il\u00edcitas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante el operativo realizado el <strong>9 de septiembre de 2025<\/strong>, la Fiscal\u00eda y la Polic\u00eda Nacional ejecutaron <strong>62 allanamientos simult\u00e1neos<\/strong> en provincias como <strong>Tungurahua, Cotopaxi, Guayas, Santo Domingo de los Ts\u00e1chilas, Sucumb\u00edos, Orellana, Pichincha y Esmeraldas<\/strong>, logrando la detenci\u00f3n de <strong>15 personas<\/strong> y la incautaci\u00f3n de <strong>dinero en efectivo, armas, dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos y documentaci\u00f3n financiera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Fiscal\u00eda detall\u00f3 que el monto del dinero irregular movilizado a trav\u00e9s del <strong>Sistema Financiero Nacional<\/strong> y en la adquisici\u00f3n de bienes muebles e inmuebles supera los <strong>$354 millones<\/strong> entre 2015 y 2025.
